Cogeneration plants with animal fat oil - authorization, implementation and management GSE reports and Customs Agency

Description: 

On 19th December 2012 the cogeneration plant fuelled by cold-pressed rapeseed animal fat became fully operative. The plant which is powered by two endothermic engines combined with two generators for the concurrent production of 990 kWel and 890 kWt. This output will be used to fuel a teleheating network serving a major textile company of the territory, both for technology and processing purposes. The project is the “100%” brainchild of Tetra Engineering, starting from technical and economic feasibility all the way to the paperwork for obtaining the authorization for construction and its proper functioning.

To August 2014 were obtained all permissions to use animal fat instead of vegetable oil. In 2015 Tetra Energy Srl has entered into partnership with EON SRL and in May 2015 were carried out replacements of engines and alternators as a result of which the plant began production with the fuel in animal fat.

For two plants in animal fat cogeneration, located in the municipality of Grezzana (VR), output of 420 kW, and in the municipality of Bologna, output of 864 kW, Tetra Engineering Srl follows the relations with GSE related to requests for advance payments monthly and annual adjustments of inclusive tariffs and relations with the Customs Agency of the Province of expertise on the management of animal fat loads received and the annual communication of electricity production.
