Obtained authorizations for fouer plants in syngas, two technology Maya and two technology Urbas, for the production of renewable energy by gasification of wood chips virgin wood.
The two plants syngas Maya technology already authorized and under construction are located in the municipality of Spoleto (power 50 kW, authorization obtained in April 2016) and in the municipality of Sigillo (power 50 kW, authorization obtained in March 2016). The two plants syngas Urbas technology already authorized will are located in the municipality of Marsciano. A plant in Marsciano is became operational in February 2017. Request inclusive tariff under D.M. 23.06.16.
The gasification process can be understood as a process of combustion 'choked', or incomplete: involves the use of solid fuels (such as wood or coal) and a quantity of air is not sufficient to complete the combustion, so that the output gases still possesses a potential for a subsequent combustion. The unburnt gas is then channeled to burn where required.
The conversion into syngas of wood is a complex process of physical and chemical thanks to which, in the absence of air (oxygen), the wood is transformed into syngas which collected, purified from moisture, conveyed in a cogenerator that is no more than an internal combustion engine which simultaneously produces electricity and thermal energy.
